MRI machines produce powerful magnetic fields. You may not be able to have an MRI if you have the following:

• Pacemaker
• Aneurysm clips
• Artificial heart valve
• Stents
• Cochlear implants
• Any non-MRI compatible metal-based prosthetic implants
